We will post your goods as soon as we have had your order (Assuming they are in stock; which they usually are) and payment has been made. You can place your orders up to 1500hrs and we will get them out that day whenever possible.

But please do remember that if you send us a cheque or use a PayPal cheque then we won't be able to send anything out until the payment has cleared. This can take up to 7 days with PayPal and sometimes longer with the clearing banks and Building Societies.

If time is an issue or you need your goods quickly or you are concerned about the mail strikes then you can upgrade to the courier service with next day delivery as an option at extra cost.

We will then send the goods by your selected option. First Class post or "Next Day" delivery. In the case of "Next Day" we guarantee next day delivery but you should be at home to accept and sign for the goods.

Note however that we don't include Saturdays in that promise. Nor Public Holidays.

Postal Charges

Our shopping cart system system requires us to charge a flat fee for postage of an order regardless of the size and weight of the package. The only variation is the class of postage. 2nd class, first class or special delivery (1300 on day after posting).

This may mean that the postage for a small, light, inexpensive item can appear dispropo to be in then an alternairtionate in relation to its cost. The only consolation I can offer is that if you order large, heavy, expensive items then the postage cou are not goingst is really good value. The Swings and Roundabouts of outrageous fortune as they say. Sorry.

As we are always looking for ways to offer the very best and fairest value to all customers, we are also looking for a way that we can offer a more accurate postal cost per item and still ensure good service.

Currently, our carrier of choice is Royal Mail because they are the country's premier postal service provider and because they consistently provide a reliable service over all of UK. If we can find an alternative that offers better value and reliability we will migrate our business to them.

Green is Good

Many of our suppliers send us stock in brand new cardboard boxes. We unpack the goods and then throw away or otherwise have to dispose of the boxes. This then means that our supplier has to buy new boxes and somewhere yet another tree bites the dust. This is not eco friendly.

We have made the decision to recycle suppliers packaging wherever we can. This will hopefully have the effect of saving some tree somewhere and keeping our overheads down fractionally. This may also mean that some Chinese cardboard box maker gets made redundant; but you can't make an omelette etc.

It also means that you, the end customer, will sometimes get your order in a pre used box that may have branding by A N Other on it.

We hope that you don't mind this and if perhaps you are an ardent e-commerce person then you too might reuse the packaging your goods have come in.

It's probably not a massive contribution by us but every little helps as they say.
